Welcome to the National Summer Intensive Audition Tour website!
The National Summer Intensive Audition Tour (NSIA) is a collective of professional ballet schools created to give young dancers the opportunity to audition for multiple nationally recognized summer programs through a single audition class. Each participating school in the collective hosts in-person auditions at their facilities. Dancers attending a National Summer Intensive Audition are considered for acceptance by all schools in the collective.
How it works:
Choose Your Audition Site: Select an audition city from the NSIA schedule and register directly with the host school.
Attend In Person: All auditions are held in person at the host location. Representatives from the other participating schools will observe either in person or virtually. Each audition is recorded, allowing observing schools to review as needed.
Program Interest and Acceptance: Students may indicate which schools they would like to audition for, however, all schools in the collective may reach out to any auditioning dancer.
Registration Requirements: Dancers must pre-register and pay the audition fee directly to the host school. A secondary registration form must also be completed to be considered by observing schools.
Safety Protocols: Participants must follow all health and safety guidelines of the host school at which they audition.
What if?
If a host school must cancel its in-studio audition due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, registered students may submit a video audition. This option is only available to dancers registered for an in-person NSIA audition that has been officially canceled. It is not available to students who choose not to attend an in-person audition prior to a cancellation announcement.
Please note:
NSIA auditions have limited capacity.
Audition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable between sites.
What to wear:
Participants are encouraged to wear colored leotards (to help viewers track individual dancers) with a mid to high back as dancers will wear audition numbers on both the front and back of their leotard or shirt.
